About a dozen people kicked off their Thanksgiving Day with a power cycle class at MedCentral Health and Fitness Center, 1750 W. Fourth St. in Mansfield.

The group participated in the annual "Turkey Ride" power cycling class. The one-hour high energy program has become a popular event at the fitness center.

A few participants said the class was a great way to start their Thanksgiving before they chow down for a full day of filled with lots of food.

MedCentral Health and Fitness Center was open 7 a.m. until noon Thursday for the holiday.
