A home at 144 County Road 681 in Sullivan in northern Ashland County was destroyed by a fire Tuesday morning. Sullivan Township Fire Chief Gary Hollingsworth says the fire broke-out just before 9:30 a.m. in the chimney, and spread through the roof and interior.  The man who lives there got out unharmed, and is staying with his family next door. Firefighters from Sullivan, Ruggles-Troy, and Polk-Jackson-Perry Townships all responded to the scene and had the blaze extinguished in an hour.
