Every year millions of Americans put up Christmas trees in their home's to usher in the holidays. Many of them visit tree farms, such as Werick's Evergreen Farm in Lexington, to pick out the perfect tree with friends and family.

Roger Weirick is the owner of Weirick's Evergreen Farm and says he has been helping people enjoy their Christmas tree finding experience for over 25 years. Weirick says to look for a tree that has good color and a full coverage so that it lasts through the holiday season. He was even able to help WMFD's Brian Skowronski cut down his first ever Christmas tree without hurting himself.

Lexington resident Phil Walter and daughter Taylor visited Weirick's on Wednesday for their annual search of a family Christmas tree. The Walter's explored a large portion of Weirick's property on their hunt and eventually chose an 18-foot beauty that will engross their living room for their next several weeks.

Weirick's Evergreen Farm is open Wednesday-Monday throughout the month of December.
