Early Monday Morning Fire Destroys Home In Shelby

An early morning fire caused smoke and water damage to a home in Shelby. The fire began at 5:24 a.m. Monday at 74 Marvin Ave. Smoke and flames were visible from the two-story home when Shelby firefighters arrived on the scene. Two occupants inside the residence made it out the residence safely before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
