Original Published: 12/20/2013The United Way of Richland County is closing in on its goal. Director Bob Maxey updated the fund-raising total thermometer in the front window of the Community Services building in downtown Mansfield Friday morning, to show the campaign had reached $1,115,000. That's $535,000 short of the $1,650,000 goal. The United Way holds its annual Dash to the Goal event Friday January tenth from 7 am to 3 p-m, in an effort to raise enough to meet and even surpass the goal. The final total will be announced at the annual dinner, February 27th at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center.
