A Wayne County man charged in the rape and murder of his neighbor will be arraigned Thursday.

Jerrod Metsker, 24, was to be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. on charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping and rape. Metsker was indicted last in the death of 9-year-old, Reann Murphy.

Reann was found on Dec. 15 in a trash bin at a mobile home park where she and Metsker lived at 5912 Akron Road in Smithville.

Reann was reported missing on Dec. 14. Authorities say she was last seen with Metsker.

Metsker remains in the Wayne County Jail on a $1 million bond.
