Minutemen To Host Tygers, Warriors

Talk about a tough weekend, that's what is facing the Lexington boys basketball team as they prep for 5-0 Mansfield Senior on Friday, then Ontario Saturday. The Warriors like the Tygers, enter the weekend undefeated at 7-0. According to Lexington coach Scott Hamilton, maybe the biggest problem any coach has is trying to duplicate Mansfield Senior's pressure on defense in practice, while at the same time looking to contain or slow down the Tyger transition game. The Minutemen enter the weekend at 3-3 after a 60-50 win over Hillsdale last Saturday evening. It won't be any easier on Saturday as Lex will play host to rival Ontario who has won their first seven games. If anything says Hamilton there are similarities as both teams like to get up and down the floor and both like to go inside to their big men. For the Tygers it's Donovyn Benson and Robert Jones, while the Warriors feature Cameron Mack. Hamilton adds that for his team to have a chance at winning, Lexington must be able to handle the Tygers and Warriors defensive pressure and not turn the ball over, which he adds at times is easier said than done.
