Dozens of people awaiting rescue in Antarctica are getting ready for New Year's. The 74 passengers and crew members will have to wait for the weather to improve before a helicopter can mount a rescue. Their ship got caught in unusually thick ice. It hasn't moved in a week, and ice-breaker ships haven't been able to reach it without risking getting stuck themselves. A helicopter will take 52 passengers, one dozen at a time, to another ship. The 22 crew members will remain on board.
