Letter carriers need clear access to deliver mail

  Original Published: 1/2/2014The U.S. Postal Service is reminding residents that letter carriers need clear access to deliver your mail. Residents who receieve delivery to roadside mailboxes must keep the approachto and exit from the mailbox clear of snow along or vehicles, or trash cans or any obstacles. Melvin J. Anderson, USPS Northern Ohio District Manager said the area near the mailbox should be cleared in a half-moon shape to give the carrier full visibility. Sidewalks should also be cleared for mail carriers to deliver your mail.
