Original Published: 1/2/2014The Northern Ohio League is home to two undefeated teams so far this season. Norwalk stands at 7-0 and won the 50th consecutive regular season game last weekend over Tiffin Columbian, and Ontario who enters this weekend at 9-0, preparing for Tiffin Columbian (3-3, 1-2) on Friday at Tiffin and Sandusky (1-6, 1-1) at home on Saturday night. The 9-0 start by the Warriors is their best since the team won 19 straight during the 1997-'98 season when the Warriors finished at 19-1 during the regular season and were declared A.P. Poll State Champs and ranked #1 in the state Division III. Head coach Joe Balogh says his group has had some luck along the way, but is quick to add that his players have also stepped up and made big plays at key times. He also adds the 2013-'14 squad comes to practice with a workman like attitude ready to put in a good days work. Should the Warriors and Truckers continue to win, both will be matched up on Friday, January 17th at Ontario in what would be a battle for first in the NOL. The two teams would meet again at Norwalk on the final Friday of the regular season February 21st.
