Diabetes support group hosting program for youths

Children with Type 1 diabetes are invited to attend an event designed to empower them with new ways to face the physical, emotional and cognitive challenges involved in managing their condition.

The program will be held Jan. 20 from noon to 4 p.m. in the new Adventure Gallery at the Springmill Learning Center of the Mansfield City Schools located at 1200 Nestor Drive.

The Mansfield Area Juvenile Diabetic Support Group invites children and teenagers with Type 1 diabetes, ages 8 to 18, to attend the outing free of charge.

 Snacks will be provided and blood glucose monitoring will be done as needed.
