Richland County Youth and Family Council is requesting applicants for the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund to be utilized for Fiscal Year 2015 (July 1, 2014 – June 31, 2015).

The purpose of the grant is to prevent child abuse and neglect through investing in strong communities, healthy families, and safe children.

The program is required to be an evidence based program as designated and approved by the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund.

Each program that is funded must address at least one of five protective factors: parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development, concrete support in times of need, and children’s social and emotional development. Each program must specify how it will prevent or reduce child abuse or neglect.

Programs are not permitted to use funds for families with open or substantiated cases of abuse or neglect. Programs are required to administer a survey to families served through these funds. Programs are required to collect, maintain and report outcome and evaluation data as well as demographic data as part of their program delivery.

Potential vendor webinars are being held, with pre-registration, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 and Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

You can obtain a copy of the zipped versions of the potential vendor database and instructions by visiting the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund website at www.jfs.ohio.gov/octf and clicking on the SFY2015 County Child Abuse and Child Neglect Prevention Advisory Board Grant link on the left side of the screen.

Additional information, invitation link to the vendor webinars, and/or the Vendor Microsoft Access 2007 database CD can be requested through the Council office at 419-522-8213 or [email protected].

The Vendor Microsoft Access database containing the Program Details Form and Vendor Program Budget are due to the Richland County Youth and Family Council office, 445 Bowman Street, Suite 138, P.O. Box 1986, Mansfield, Ohio 44901 by 4:00pm on Monday, February 10, 2014.

The OCTF will NOT accept Access database submissions directly from a vendor. You must send your Vendor DB to the Richland County Youth and Family Council either on CD by mail or by email to [email protected].
