Mohican State Park held a winter hike over the weekend. The hiking event, which consisted of several different activities to choose from, included a 10-mile hike, a 5-mile hike, and a children's hike for younger nature enthusiasts.

"As they go out on the hike today, they're going to get a chance to look at some of the wildlife that's up and moving this morning, and a lot of the beauty that the Mohican area has to offer," said Cory Boyer, park manager.

Boyer isn't the only one excited to share the natural beauty of the area to hikers. According to Mike Studeny, assistant manager for the park, his favorite thing to see is younger people enjoying their trips in and around the grounds. "Just getting people out and moving, that's the biggest thing," he said.
