At 10-1 and 5-1 in the NCC, the Buckeye Central Bucks will play two this weekend, both in NCC play. On Friday BC will host the 8-4 Bucyrus Redmen, then Saturday return home to face 4-8 Wynford. Heading into this weekend Buckeye Central is in a first place tie with Col. Crawford in conference play and has earned a state ranking in Division IV at number 11. Bucks coach Phil Loy, told his team congratulations, but now everybody will be gunning for you and you'll get their best shot every night out. To this point, Buckeye Central has been up to the task, losing just once to Col. Crawford 60-48, back in December. BC has been getting balanced scoring from Cade Kaple who averages 13.7 ppg, Sam Robertson at 11.1 ppg and Austin Wurm at 20.6 ppg. Kaple says at times it can be tough not to look ahead, but at the same time you have to take it a game at a time. The Bucks will play their next four games at home including next Saturday's rematch against Col. Crawford in a battle for sole poccession of first place in the NCC.
