The United Way of Richland County held its annual board meeting Wednesday night, at the Area Agency on Aging.

Items on the agenda included the election of new board members, Mary Bolin, Tim Dove and Jodi Scott. As well as discussion about "Dash to the Goal", which still needs thirty-five thousand dollars to reach that finish line.

This was Kristie Massa's last meeting as President of the board; and Dan Deville was welcomed as the new board president. The United Way of Richland County's Annual Dinner is February 27th, and will be the final celebration for "Dash to the Goal".

Another fun event, The "Big Red Bookshelf Event" A campaign that encourages children in our area to read. It's fun, free and is happening this Monday the 20th at the Mansfield Area YMCA, from 12-2pm.
