CACY celebrates 35 years of alcohol and drug prevention

Community Action for Capable Youth,(CACY), celebrated it's 35th anniversary Thursday at the Urban Center , 1354 N. Main St. in Mansfield.

Community members gathered to join CACY in celebrating 35 years of providing alcohol, tobacco and drug prevention services to Richland County.

"I'm excited to celebrate 35 years of prevention work because it's working," CACY executive director Tracee Anderson said.

"I want people to know that prevention does work and that there is still more work to do. Richland County is making great strides and preventing substance use," Anderson said.

 The event ended with refreshments, a raffle for desserts and gift baskets.
