Providence Baptist Church held its 15th annual MLK Breakfast in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

"It's a wonderful event," says Thomas Hunt, the Church's pastor. "It's a time where we can come together, remember why we are here, why we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King. He was a great humanitarian, he was for people of all races, and he was a person who would probably do anything he could to make sure we're still on the right road to justice for all people. Not just the black race, but the entire human race. So we thank God that he was able to come to us, to bring us a message of hope, a message of peace, and one that has love incorporated in it."

The church held service during the breakfast, with some hymns and prayers being sung and spoken by members of the congregation.
