Original Published: 1/24/2014A ten-year-old girl was killed in a one-car crash late Thurday night on State Route 603 east of Willet Road in Cass Township. The Mansfield post of the Ohio Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Jennifer Schrank of Shiloh was driving westbound when she tried to pass a vehicle and lost control. Her car went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and overturned several times. Ten-year-old Danielle Bailey was ejected and died at Med-Central Shelby Hospital. Schrank, and six-year-old Brooke Bailey, were taken to Shelby Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The patrol reminds motorists that even though roads may appear to be clear, conditions can change rapidly, especially in rural areas where blowing snow can create slippery conditions.
