The City Garden Cafe' is open for business in the former Human Resources office on the third floor of Mansfield City Hall. Mayor Tim Theaker and Richland Newhope Adult Services Director Amanda South cut the ribbon Monday morning, concluding a project that was thought of eighteen months ago and took a year to design and construct.

It employs 12 Newhope individuals who will take the experience they gain to work for restaurants.

The cafe' serves breakfast and lunch items including specialty sandwiches, salads, soups, and gourmet coffee.

The mayor suggested Richland Newhope Industries build the cafe', to make use of the empty space after Human Resources was moved to the ninth floor, and he's pleased with the result.

The artwork on the walls of the City Garden Cafe' was created by five artists with Newhope Industries' Element of Art studio at West Fourth and Main Streets in downtown Mansfield.

The cafe' is open weekdays from 7a.m. to 3:30p.m.
