The Richland County Coroner's Office has released the name of the woman whose body was found in an alley in the 300 block of Wayne Street Thursday in Mansfield.

Nikki S. Vance, 43, was found around 9 a.m. lying in the snow next to a car parked behind a home at 327 Wayne St.

Police say Vance was out late into the morning drinking at a bar with a male friend. The male left the bar and returned back to the residence.

Authorities believe Vance left the bar a short time later and also returned to the residence. Authorities said it appeared that Vance may have fallen several times on the ice but was unable to make it inside the home.

Authorities are still investigating the cause death which appears to be accidental. The Summit County Coroner's Office will perform an autopsy.
