Warriors Outlast Redmen To Stay Perfect

Coming off a thrilling win over previously unbeaten Norwalk on Wednesday night, state-ranked Ontario would experience a slight hangover Friday at Bellevue.

The Warriors shot just 7-28 (25%) from the floor and turned it over nine times in the first half, but still led the Redmen 27-26 at the break. In the second half Ontario fed off of 17 points by Cameron Mack to blow the game open for a 71-56 win, the Warriors 16th straight to open the season.

Mack finished with a game-high 19, while Lennell Shelby added 16 to help pace the Warriors, Paul Homan 15 off the bench. Bellevue also put three players in double-figures scoring with Chuck Dendinger dropping 16, Josh McNeely 12 and Dylan DeWitt 11.

Ontario remains undefeated at 16-0, 8-0 in the NOL and will play at Madison in non- conference play on Saturday. The Redmen fall to 3-11, 1-6 and will be at Plymouth Monday.
