The Mansfield-Ontario-Richland County Health Department wants to undergo some energy-saving renovation projects to its building at Sterkel Boulevard and Lexington Avenue. Health Commissioner Martin Tremmel and his assistant Dave Randall asked the commissioners Tuesday morning if they would be willing to include the department with the improvements being done in other county buildings. Tremmel says they're looking at heating and air conditioning, lighting, and reducing the number of boilers from 13 to one or two. The cost of these projects, and how they will be paid for, still must be determined. Tremmel hopes to have plans and cost estimates completed for the commissioners in four to six weeks.
