Volunteers are always needed for Homecare Matters' Home Health and Hospice. And in an effort to recruit more, the Galion non-profit organization held an open house Tuesday, complete with displays about volunteer opportunities, and a large supply of cookies and brownies. Volunteers can help in many ways, including working with recovering surgery patients and the terminally ill. To become a home health and hospice volunteer, call Homecare Matters at 1-800-4-NURSES, or log on to www.homecarematters.org.
