SunFest Herbs no longer plans to building a facility at the former General Motors plant in Ontario, but the deal is not necessarily dead.

Ontario Mayor Randy Hutchinson says SunFest has been sold and the new owner has changed his mind about coming here.  But Hutchinson says The Adler Group, the development company seeking tenants for the former GM site, is still working with SunFest and hopes to change the owner's mind.

In the meantime, Hutchinson says the Adler Group is also hard at work trying to attract other tenants.

Ontario Growth Corporation Director Mark Weidemyre calls the SunFest project "in limbo" but doubts they will come any time soon, if at all.

He says The Adler Group plans to come to Mansfield in the next week to ten days to announce two other tenants for the property and to re-affirm their committment to attracting businesses and creating jobs at the Ontario Business Park.

Weidemyre says he has come to know the developer's work well, and is satisfied they will not pull out and will live-up to their promises.
