The Mansfield Public Library has kicked off their Sunday Music Series by duo Silver and Spruce.

"Every time we play, I always hope that I can touch the hearts of my audience somehow and make them feel happiness," says Rodolfo Vazquez, the duo's flute player.

Silver and Spruce plays a variety of material spanning several genres, from jazz, to blues, and even some classical pieces. The duo also plays some of their own original material.

"My biggest inspiration would be the Irish flute player, Sir James Galway. He's still playing, he's 72 years old, but still doing it and he's incredible," said Vazquez. Vazquez also says the duo is influenced by composers such as Mozart, but also draws from contemporary artists like Cole Porter.
