Governor Extends Propane Emergency Declaration

Governor John Kasich is extending Ohio's energy emergency declaration through March first. He's doing this so shipments of propane gas can continue to be expedited and help ease tight supplies brought on by the extreme cold weather. Kasich issued his original declaration January 18th, allowing trucks transporting propane to more quickly deliver supplies. The federal government issued a similar declaration expediting interstate shipments. Propane is a common home-heating fuel used in rural Ohio.
