After 16 games and a win over Akron SVSM on February the 8th, the Mansfield Tyger basketball team stood at 14-2. Then over the next six games the Tygers went two and four with losses to Gahanna Lincoln, Dayton Dunbar, Lima Senior and Saturday to Massillon the team's final regular season game. A rough schedule to be sure. In between, was a win at Clear Fork last Friday that gave Mansfield Senior an outright OCC crown. Then on Sunday the Tygers lost that championship off the court to West Holmes when it was announced that one of their main players Donovyn Benson, was ineligible due to grades. As it is 15-7 Mansfield Senior will head into Galion on Friday to face either Madison or Marion Harding. Despite all that has happened in the last two days the team is trying to refocus on Friday's contest at 6:15pm.
