No one seems upset over Richland County Transit's proposed fare increase.

The transit board held a four-hour public hearing Wednesday, but turnout was very sparse.

The fare increase was first announced, and posted inside buses a month ago, but response has been almost nil. Fares for a single trip would increase by 30 percent, while the day and monthly passes would increase by 25 percent.

The starting date has not been set, but is expected to be April 1.
