A $2 million bond for a Bucyrus man charged with rape and kidnapping has been reduced.

The bond of Chadwick S. Monroe, 38, was reduced to $500,000 on Tuesday by Crawford County Common Pleas Judge Russell Wiseman. Monroe pleaded not guilty to multiple charges including gross sexual imposition.

Monroe's bond was set at $2 million during a hearing on Jan. 22.

Monroe was arrested after authorities received a 911 call about a rape in Jefferson Township. If convicted, Monroe faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and $20,000 fine.
