The Ontario Substance Abuse Prevention Program Advisory Council met Thursday to continue to work to alleviate many of the community problems associated with illegal alcohol and other drug use. Program coordinator Amy Nagel says in the Ontario School District, students take an active part in working to prevent substance abuse. Nagel says two upcoming events are the Powder Puff Football Game on May 12th and taking part in the Start Talking initiative at the Area Agency on Aging in April. The Ontario Substance Abuse Prevention Program has been in existence since 1991.
