The Ohio Department of Aging once again surveyed residents of Ohio nursing homes and assisted living facilities to determine their satisfaction with the care they receive there as part of the 2013 Long-term Care Resident Satisfaction Survey.

Nursing home residents gave their facilities an 87.5 average overall satisfaction rating and assisted living residents gave their providers a 92.3 score.

The following facilities are among the Top 25 Ohio Nursing Homes; Wooster Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility received an overall score of 97.48 and Autumn Health Care of Mount Vernon received a 95.62 score.

The following facilities are among the Top 25 Residential Care Facilities; Townview Terrace in Wooster received a 99.8 rating, and McMullen Assisted Care in Loudonville received a 98.4 rating.

A total of 27,085 residents in 953 nursing homes participated in the survey and 11,013 residents in 598 assisted living facilities participated in the survey.
