The Richland County Board of Elections is gearing-up for the May sixth primary election. The panel met Tuesday to set the voter registration deadline at Monday April 7th at 9 pm. The Board of Elections office at the Longview Center will be open until that time. The board also announced early and absentee voting will begin April first. The last day of early voting is Saturday May third, not Monday the fifth, a change ordered by the Ohio Secretary of State. Four write-in candidates for Shelby Republican Central Committee were also certified for the primary; Jann Chew (1-A), Lisa Grove (3-A), Steven Schag (3-B), and Martha Phelan (4-B).
