It wasn't without some minor glitches but the Shelby Justice Center opened up for business Wednesday, much to the delight of many. The new facility, located at twenty-nine and thirty-one Mack Avenue, houses Shelby Municipal Court, the Shelby Police Department, Shelby City Council and Shelby Clerk of Courts. Both Shelby Police Chief Charles Roub and Shelby Municipal Court Judge Jon Schaefer, said they were more than happy to work through some minor problems to get the facility up and running. Judge Schaefer says the new facility is fabulous, adding the people of Shelby paid for it and the taxpayers should very proud of it as it's a great addition to the community.
