Norwalk defeated Sandusky Perkins for a third time this season in Saturday's D II district championship at Mansfield Senior, with a 55-45 win over the Pirates.

Ben Haraway led the Truckers attack with 16 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while Jeff Thomas added 13 pts & 14 rebounds, Grant Hull had 7 pts and 8 steals. Perkins got a nice game from Kyle Lewis who netted a game-high 18 pts to go along with 5 rbs, with teammate Nic Williams chipping in with 9 pts, 6 rbs & 3 asts.

The Pirates actually won the battle of the boards 29-24 and the turnover margin 19-15, but were outshot from the field 20-41 (49%) to 17-44 (39%).

The Truckers improve to 25-1 on the season and will take on 19-7 Vermillion in the regional semifinals next Thursday night at Bowling Green State University at 6:15 pm.

Perkins wraps-up their campaign as district runners-up at 21-4.
