The Colonel Crawford Eagles dropped out of tournament play on Saturday evening with a 51-32 loss to the Huron Tigers in the Division III district final at Ashland University on Saturday evening. The Sandusky Bay Conference runner-up put four players in double digit scoring led by Cody Thompson with 13 points, Zach Souter had 12, while Adam Bollenbacher and Adam Storer each had 11. For the Eagles Nate Klingenberger had 12 and Conner McCreary 11, Todd Entenmann had six and Logan Sager three. The Eagles were held to single digit scoring in three of four quarters and were never able to get their outside shooters McCreary, Entenmann and Gulley on track. Huron led after one period 16-8, at the break 22-14, and after three 37-21. With the win the 18-6 Tigers move on to face Ottawa-Glandorf in the D-3 regional semifinal at BGSU on Wednesday at 8pm, while Colonel Crawford calls it a season finishing at 19-6.
