Two people are behind bars in the death of a Marion woman.

Dave Shockey, 37, of Marion, is charged with aggravated murder and Danielle Crokie, 19, of Bucyrus, is charged with tampering with evidence.

Investigators say police received a call Monday evening that Shelly Shockey, 41, was missing from her home at 419 Pennsylvania Avenue. When officers arrived, they interviewed her husband Dave Shockey and found his behavior suspicous.  The officers left, but talked with detectives, who went back to the house to ask Shockey to come to the police station to be questioned.   After several hours of questioning, officers returned to the house and found Shelly Shockey's body concealed in the basement.

Investigators say Shelly Shockey was killed with a knife.

Danielle Crokie is Shockey's girlfriend.

Dave Shockey and Danielle Crokie were arraigned Tuesday. Shockey's bond was set at $2 million and Crokie's bond was set at $1 million.

The suspects are being held at the Multi-County Corrections Center.

The Marion County Prosecutor and Grand Jury will ultimately decide what charges are contained in an indictment.
