Oasis of Love Church on 190 Chester Avenue held a special service that featured several rap and hip-hop performers over the weekend. Prophocey, the CEO and Owner of Real Music Records, spoke about his company's goals and purpose.

"Real Music Records connects the mind, body, and soul to the spirit of God," he said. "A lot of music now sounds commercialized, it all sounds the same. So what we do is, we make sure that our music can speak for itself, and we just let God do the rest."

Based out of Columbus, Ohio, Real Music Records is predominantly a hip-hop based label, but Prophocey says it's not just limited to the rap and hip-hop genres.

"We have contemporary gospel artists, we have R&B artists, and we have blues artists as well. We generally tend to go for hip-hop, because that is the most popular, but we do not shy away from any other genre of music."

Both Prophocey and a few other artists such as Solachi Voz took the stage to talk a little about their faith and perform some of their music to the Oasis of Love congregation. For more information, visit http://www.oasisoflove.org.
