Mansfield Christian High School held an open house along with their annual "Flamin Hot" pancake breakfast fundraiser.

"It's a great opportunity for our families to get together," said Cy Smith, Mansfield Christian Superintendent. "A lot of today will be highlighting the Independent Study program, and a lot of those people who will be involved," he said.

The Independent Study program is "the best of both worlds," according to Independent Studies Director Charlene Eder. "It's for families who like to home-school, but they're under the umbrella and protection of Mansfield Christian School. They're enrolled as students here at Mansfield Christian, but primarily most of their studies are done at home."

"We're also showing off the school . This is a popular time for us to recruit new students for next year, whether they're young and looking to go to school for the first time, or if they're already at another school and want to explore Christian education," said Smith.
