Each division of the Mansfield-Ontario-Richland County Health Department came together to discuss current objectives for the department, as well as future goals and ambitions.

The Board of Health examined the department's current strategic plan at their monthly meeting Monday evening, scheming for future action within the county.

Health Promotion and Education Manager Selby Dorgan says when evaluating the strategic plan "You always want to look out beyond this year." Dorgan added that "It's going to be a road map for where you're going to go."

The board combined information from several different sources to evaluate goals and objectives for the next several years according to Dorgan.

The board also discussed applying for a pair of grants from Child and Family Health Services totaling $238,000.
