President Barack Obama will correct a historic injustice Tuesday, awarding the Medal of Honor, the highest possible combat honor, to 24 Jewish, Hispanic and African-American veterans. Among them, retired Staff Sgt. Melvin Morris, who served in Vietnam. He is one of only three who are still alive. All were previously overlooked for the Medal of Honor because of their ethnicity or religion.
