Two area Consulate Health Care Centers are among nine skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities who are named among the top in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Country Meadow Care Center on Algire Road in Bellville and Crestline Nursing Center, have earned 5-star ratings and are among those listed in the sixth annual Best Nursing Homes Ratings for 2014.

Country Meadow Care Center Executive Director Philip Critcher says the 5-star rating is derived from three data sources, health inspections, staffing and quality measures.

Critcher says Country Meadow Care Center's location is a blessing because it's in a small home-like environment out in the countryside. The two area health care centers were among more than 16,000 centers nation-wide that were rated.
