March 13 through April 15 is National Deaf History Month, and a group dedicated to bringing the deaf and hard of hearing together wants to invite you to their next event. North East Ohio Community Chat hosts monthly events in Richland County for deaf, hard of hearing and their friends and family.

Their goal? to provide resources and activities for the Deaf in our local and surrounding communities. Members Gena Stillwell and Jessica Fry started the group this January with just twenty people, but the response has been great and interest is growing. One of the biggest factors in helping this group grow is social media.

You can find the group and their video blog on Facebook, at "NE Ohio Deaf Community Chat"

Jessica and Gena would like to bring fellowship to the group, as well as professional assistance for those interested. Their next event is Thursday, March 26 at Brumby's Coffee House and Pizzeria in Bellville. They hope to see you there!
