  Original Published: 3/21/2014The new V-A clinic on South Trimble Road at Marion Avenue in Mansfield is open for service to thousands of military veterans in Richland and surrounding counties. The 25,000 square-foot building was packed with people Friday for dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. The clinic is named after Private First Class David Winder, a Malabar High School graduate who was killed in Viet Nam as he tried to help two wounded comrades. Congressman Pat Tiberi and Senator Rob Portman sent proclamations honoring Winder. The Winder family donated his Presidential Medal of Honor to the clinic, then cut the ribbon to officially open it.
