Ashland Schools Adding Half Hour To 33 Days

  Original Published: 3/25/2014Ashland Schools are taking steps to make up for class time lost during the snowy winter. The school board Monday night approved adding half-an-hour to the next 33 school days, starting Wednesday. This follows a new state law giving school districts the option to make up calamity days by adding extra time on each school day instead of adding extra days. Ashland school district parents have already received phone messages about the change. The board also awarded construction contracts for the new elementary and middle schools.
