Original Published: 3/27/2014766 shuttered Mansfield street lights have been turned back on after two years, thanks to passage last November of the PRIDE income tax. Mayor Tim Theaker says it took Ohio Edison some time to inventory the city's street lights, then turn on the ones that had been off. But now, he says drivers and residents will be able to see better, and should feel safer. If you see any street lights still out, call 2-1-1 to report them. Mansfield saved $186,000 over the two years the lights were out. The city can now afford that expense.
