Original Published: 4/1/2014After going 19-6 a season ago, the Lady Lex softball team returns just four lettermen from a season ago. Veteran coach Mike Hamman is hoping that his squad can grow up quick saying it will be a baptism by fire. One place where Hamman does have experience is at pitcher with the return of junior Abbie Sgro. Hamman says the team will have to lean on Sgro defense wise early in the season. The team will find out where they are at in a hurry as Lady Lex will open with one of the OCC preseason favorites in Ashland.
