Mansfield, Ohio joined cities named Mansfield around the world Wednesday, in International Clean-Up Mansfield Day.

The Prospect Elementary Third Grade Leadership Group was the first to go out with garbage bags to pick-up litter on the playground and around the building. We also found pre-kindergarten and third grade students at Discovery School sprucing-up the grounds.

Eight other litter collection projects were to be done Wednesday afternoon. The kick-off of Mansfield's 18th annual Earth Stewardship Celebration is Thursday, with more litter pick-up, tree plantings, and beautification projects.
