The Mansfield Police Department bolstered its supervisory ranks Thursday with six officers receiving promotions.

In a ceremony held at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 315 on Concord Avenue, Sgt. Shari Robertson and Lt. Bret Snavely were administered the Oath of Captain.

Sgts. Todd Newbury and Douglas Noblet were both promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. And, patrol officers Patrick Williams and Donald Rhinehart were administered the Oath of Sergeant.

Mansfield Police Chief Kenneth Coontz says the promotions of these officer were very significant. Chief Coontz says morale is increasing among the ranks and he couldn't be happier to see these officers get promoted so they now have a full executive staff at the Mansfield Police Department.
