ACHC Holds 4th Annual Chocolate And More Fundraiser

People flocked to the Ashland County Fairgrounds over the weekend to help raise money for the Ashland Christian Health Center's "Chocolate and More" Fundraiser. Over 20 chocolatiers catered for the event, bringing in people from all around the area to sample their sweet treats.

Mandi Ross, executive director of the Ashland Christian Health Center, explained what the ACHC does for people who haven't interacted with them before.

"We help those that don't have insurance to see a doctor in our area with our facilities. We have two free clinics available, and we see adults from Ashland County. We also see people from surrounding counties within 30 days as a courtesy," said Ross. "We also have services such as a medical equipment bank, where we have crutches and walkers available to anyone free of charge, as long as they bring them back."

The event featured over 200 delicacies by local chocolatiers, and had entertainment such as a live piano player, some children's mascots, and had services to promote ACHC, such as free five-minute massages and blood pressure checkups.
