National prescription take back event April 26

The METRICH Enforcement Unit will be partnering with local law enforcement agencies, Richland County Solid Waste Management, Richland County Mental Health Board, and Richland Public Health in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26.

Richland County will have six locations for prescription drug drop off, the sites are:  the Solid Waste Management Facility at 1125 National Parkway, Richland County Sheriff's Office at 597 Park Ave. East, Lexington Police Department at 44 W. Main St., Bellville Police Department at 320 Bell St., the Butler Police Department at 33 Elm St. and the Shelby Police Department at 31 Mack Ave.

 Each location will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year more than 1,800 pounds of medication was collected during the Prescription Drug Take Back Event.
